Personal:

Sami grew up in Bennington, NE and played on a successful team at Nebraska Elite Volleyball. In 2013, she graduated from Bennington High School and went on to continue her volleyball career at Loyola University Chicago. While at Loyola, she helped lead the team to reach the Missouri Valley Conference tournament in 2015 and 2016. She also achieved multiple conference awards, broke the school record for hitting percentage, and reached 2nd in blocking per set for the school record. During her spring of her junior season, Sami got the opportunity to help coach her teammates while recovering from shoulder surgery. This along with the various school camps she assisted with helped her find her desire to coach. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago in May 2017 with an Exercise Science degree.
